Weekend in the San Juans and Friday Harbor

I do have some information about the two artists I mentioned on the 7th that I would like to devote an entry to, but the hold-up is over some details I don’t have straight yet. I got an email from one of them yesterday sighing that it’s too bad we had to return to the real world. I’m right there with him.

So instead of that for today, I’ve posted up those pictures of the birthday trip to the San Juan Islands in early May. They’re interesting for some gorgeous postcard shots of Friday Harbor, moonlit waters on the ferry ride over, and pictures of some of the first Orca pods of the season. I lived in Bellingham for five years as a child and never saw a whale in the ocean, but that’s because I didn’t know you have to make a special trip to one of the points by the Sound.
