Off to Virginia

Last night we were treated to a terrific meal at the Issaquah Brewhouse by our old friends Brian and Tracy Reynolds. This was a momentous dinner because we were toasting the departure of the Reynolds for their new job in Charlottesville, Virginia. Brian will be going to work for Video Gaming Technologies, Inc (VGT), a company Scott has done a lot of freelance work for, creating games for casino machines. I think this is a positive move for them as working with VGT was always a good experience for us, they make quality games and Charlottesville is not far from Washington, DC. I’ve been on a bunch of trips to DC and there’s always something to do whenever you go. Plus Virginia, unlike Washington, has real seasons. Of course no matter how much we think they are going to do well with this move, we will still miss them here at home. We drank Rogue Ales at the brewhouse in mourning, and Scott and Tracy both got samplers with such unusual beer flavors as hazlenut, chipotle and chocolate stout. If you ever get out that way, the chocolate cake was amazing. Looks like we’ll be watching their dog Cody over the weekend while they fly out to Virginia and look for a new apartment. I would wish them luck but I know they won’t need it, they are going to do great and like their new home before they realize it
