Back from Whistler! This is the resort we stayed in, it turned out to be a very comfortable place. I work for a timeshare company and market this stuff every day, but now I can honestly say I’ve tried it out for myself and I like it. This is probably not true for all timeshare, but my company makes things pleasant. The kitchen was really well stocked, with all of the cooking equipment you would need like blenders and measuring spoons, and I really like having a washer and dryer in the room, plus there’s a gas barbecue. We weren’t there long enough to need it but if I had been, neat. The rest of the town was a good place to get away to, with lots of restaurants and plenty of outdoorsy things to do. We went up the mountain and saw the last skiers of the season enjoy their runs. You get to the top in a gondola. Also got in a minimal amount of hiking and walked around Lost Lake. The highlight of the trip was Scott’s birthday present, dinner in one of the best restaurants in Canada. There was coconut lobster, buffalo carpaccio and rhubarb crumble among other amazing food. But the best part about Whistler is bears! Black bears walking up the mountain and eating plants in a ditch by the road. Once came down especially close and we captured film of it’s terrifying encounter with some drunk fat guys. I got enough do-nothing rest to energize me for a few weeks.
