Shoot the Rockets

An oddity about Seattle is how much they love their fireworks. I have a strong hunch that most of what is being shot off outside the house is not legal, but that isn’t stopping anyone. Rockets are being lit everywhere. I plan to spend the Fourth in Bellingham this year. When I lived there, around age 8, I would sometimes go with a group of kids up Alabama Hill to Bloedel-Donovan Park and go for a swim in Whatcom Lake. I have no idea if the water will be warm enough to get into or not, but it doesn’t really matter. This is a good day for going out of town and seeing some things I won’t have access to once I’m in Florida. Enjoy your Independence Day too.
