The Beginning Again

The first draft of this script was finished in 2010, but while everyone I’ve given previews to has been excited about the concept, no one was sold on the first try. I was originally going for something with a lot more narration and a lot less dialogue, no dialogue at all in fact. All the facts were straight but the character relationships didn’t have the same kind of power.

After Scooter and Ferret ended I wasn’t sure when I might end up doing another webcomic, but this time is a little different. For one thing, I’m doing the writing and the art, so if updates fail to occur I have no one to blame but myself. I’ve been published in print, having written four 16 page stories for Ape Comics (and I hope there will be more in the future). And this isn’t an ongoing humor strip, this story has a beginning, a middle and an ending that I’ve been plotting for eight years.

There is never enough free time to write something like this. I’ve been waiting for just the right time to start and that time never comes, so here I am, starting now.

It was a pleasure getting the opportunity from Learning Developer to make an animated cartoon again. It would be nice to see more client work like this!
