About the Author

Georgia Ball is a writer, sculptor and developer living in Central Florida. She graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1998 and began writing for licensed comic books in 2010. Since then she’s written for Transformers, Scooby-Doo, My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake and Disney Princesses. Her horror credits include Evil Dead 2 and Heavy Metal Magazine.

She is best known as the adapter bringing the I Survived series by Lauren Tarshis to the graphic novel format for Scholastic, including the New York Times Bestseller I Survived the American Revolution. Other recent books have included the graphic novel adaptation of Clifford the Big Red Dog: The Movie, Disney’s Frozen graphic novels, and the WWII graphic novel Guadalcanal: Hell in the Pacific for Osprey Publishing.

Georgia also adapts short stories to comic scripts for Scholastic Magazines Scholastic Action and Scholastic SuperSTEM.

She lives with her husband and daughter, two cats, and a dog who thinks she’s their third cat. She’s often found sculpting in her art studio or kayaking on the nearby lakes.
