Bunny is embarrassed about losing his baby teeth, but when he meets a new set of friends who also have wiggly teeth, he no longer feels alone.
This book is all about the character work. In a series of illustrations of full-page illustrations with highly saturated colors, a variety of animal children play, laugh, worry, and rise out of their loneliness with expressive faces and dramatic posing. An introductory book to a series that will feature the same characters, I already feel like I know something about each of them from their distinctive clothing and individual accessories.
The biggest distraction was the size and placement of the text; the font is a bit small, and frequently overlaps illustrations that are too busy for readability. Pages that work best have a few lines of copy and allow for an open where words can pop.
Everyone loses their baby teeth, and I’ve seen that act as a bonding experience for children in real life. If you have a child with wiggly teeth, the Forever Friends Club is a good Kindle Unlimited that depicts a bunny’s journey from initial dismay to happy acceptance.
